In Short (TL;DR)
SubTrack stores all your subscription data locally on your device. We never see, collect, or transmit your subscription tracking information to any server. The only data that leaves your device is anonymous advertising metrics (handled entirely by Google AdMob) and purchase verification records (handled by RevenueCat).

1. What SubTrack Is

SubTrack is a mobile application that helps you track, manage, and visualise your recurring subscriptions — streaming services, software licences, memberships, and so on. You enter subscription details manually; the App calculates spending summaries and sends renewal reminders.

SubTrack is developed and operated by NovusHQ.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Data You Enter (Stored Locally Only)

Everything you type into the App stays on your device. This includes:

  • Subscription names, amounts, billing cycles, start dates, categories, notes, and colour preferences.
  • Reminder and notification preferences.
  • Display settings (currency, theme, language).

This data is never uploaded to our servers. It resides exclusively in the App's local storage sandbox on your phone.

2.2 Data Collected Automatically by Third Parties

To support app functionality, payment verification, and advertising, certain anonymous device metrics are shared directly with third-party SDKs integrated into the App:

2.3 What We Do NOT Collect

We believe in absolute data minimization. We do not collect or request access to:

  • Bank accounts, credit card details, or credentials.
  • GPS location or real-time location tracking.
  • Contacts, photos, files, or local media storage.
  • Browsing history or social networks.

3. How Your Data Is Used

3.1 Your Subscription Data

Processed entirely on-device to:

  • Track and display your active subscriptions.
  • Calculate monthly and annual spending summaries.
  • Generate charts, analytics, and spending projections.
  • Trigger local renewal reminders.
  • Power the home-screen widget.

3.2 Automatic Data

  • Google AdMob — serves non-intrusive ads in the free version, measures ad engagement, and prevents fraud. You can opt out of personalised ads in your Android settings.
  • RevenueCat — verifies your one-time Pro purchase and enables restoring it on a new device.
  • Google Play Services — collects anonymous crash reports so we can fix bugs and improve performance.

We work with trusted partners to maintain and monetize the app. Please refer to their privacy policies to learn more about how they process data:

5. Advertising

The free version of SubTrack shows ads via Google AdMob. AdMob may personalise ads based on your Advertising ID. You can opt out at any time:

  • Android Settings > Google > Ads > "Delete advertising ID" or "Opt out of Ads Personalization".
  • In-App — Upgrade to SubTrack Pro for a permanent ad-free experience.

6. Payments

SubTrack Pro is a one-time purchase (no recurring subscription). All payments are processed through Google Play's billing system. We never see or store your payment card details. Purchase verification and restoration are handled securely by RevenueCat.

7. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal data. The only sharing that occurs is with the third-party services listed above, and only for the purposes described. We may disclose data if required by law.

8. Your Rights

You can access, edit, export (CSV, Pro only), or permanently delete all your data at any time through the App's Settings. Clearing all data removes everything from your device. Uninstalling the App also removes all local data.

8A. GDPR Rights (EEA / UK / Switzerland)

If you are in the European Economic Area, UK, or Switzerland, you have additional rights under the GDPR: access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection, and the right to withdraw consent. To exercise these rights, email us at support@novushq.app. We respond within 30 days.

8B. CCPA / CPRA Rights (California)

If you are a California resident, you have the right to know, delete, correct, and opt out of the sale of personal information. We do not sell your personal information. To exercise your rights, email support@novushq.app. We respond within 45 days.

8C. Other Regions

We comply with applicable privacy laws in all regions where SubTrack is available, including Brazil (LGPD), India (DPDP), Canada (PIPEDA), Australia, South Korea, and Japan. Contact us to exercise your rights.

9. Children's Privacy

SubTrack is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with data, please contact us for immediate deletion.

10. Security & Retention

10.1 Data Security

All data transmitted between the App and third-party services uses TLS/SSL encryption. Local data is protected by Android's application sandboxing. We do not store payment credentials on any of our infrastructure.

10.2 Data Retention

  • Your subscription data — retained on your device until you delete it or uninstall the app.
  • Ad data — retained by Google per their standard policies.
  • Purchase records — retained by RevenueCat for as long as needed to verify your purchase status.
  • Crash data — retained by Google for up to 90 days.
